As a government funded, not profit fostering service, we are the place to go if you are thinking of fostering with Lancashire, Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Cumberland or Westmorland and Furness councils.
At Foster with us, we don’t just recruit foster carers, we help them excel at fostering by providing a full range of services. From providing the information needed to understand how fostering works all the way through to pre-approval training, and ongoing support, Foster with us provides you with everything you need to shine in fostering.
Fostering with your local authority
By fostering with your local authority, you will be supporting your local community and the children within it. There is an ever-increasing demand for foster carers but it is not always easy to keep up with that demand. This is why we are always looking for foster carers who want to excel in fostering and provide a safe home with love and support for the children that need it the most.
It is often beneficial for the child to remain in the area they know, allowing them to stay as close to the routines, friendships and places they are familiar with. Your local authority will always prioritise this where possible, to make sure a child’s life has minimal disruption. When you foster with your local council you make this a possibility, as the children you care for are from the local community, along with your fostering support network.
